Daily Deviation

Given 2006-06-21
I just stumbled across the gallery of ~Polygonist and was left dumbstruck by his style and wonderfully detailed 3D surreal homages. For example, Triumph of Death H-R-Version is one piece that just left me floored. ( Suggested by Skokie and Featured by bluespeed9 )

Something in between Salvador Dali' and Hieronymus Bosch.
But the main inspiration from Bruegel's Triumph of Death? :)

AH!:omfg: This is the first I've seen of Dali's elephants on dA! I'm so glad someone else thinks they're cool. Not to condone biter-ism, but he is so much more than melting clocks. Yay!

I'm picking up some major "Garden of earthly delights" vibes from this picture... right down to the pseudo-sequential folding panels, the epic scale, and the "demonic torture" theme, even going so far as to include musical instruments like in Bosch's painting. Am I on the right track?

hi and thanks.....breughel was the greatest.
I have seen at first the original picture when i was a child on a black sabbath cover.
That was my first real art experience.
Later i have seen the real original in the museum prado in madrid.

you're welcome, the first one i saw was fall of the rebel angels on a book called mystic places, that one really got to me a long time ago
then when the interntet appeared thats when i found out more about his work and the triumph of death stood out ,i liked him even more.
i hope one day to see the original

Whoa. So this is what a mash-up between Dali, Bosch, Geiger, WETA, 9-11 artists, and Maya would look like... Amazine and surpisingly humorous (love the kick-line skeletons by the escalator to heaven)!

Am I correct in assuming you included odes to Dali and Bosch?
